Crystal Joseph is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for the state of Maryland, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and Licensed Professional Counselor for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Crystal received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology/Black Studies from the College of William and Mary. Adept in honoring the diverse backgrounds and cultural beliefs in the therapeutic setting, Crystal partners with children, adolescents and adults. Her interventions are outfitted with pop culture, media, and world event references as appropriate. Crystal is the author of Conversation with a Clinician of Color: Likeness, Lucy & Lemonade, first-person commentary as a Black, female therapist told through the lens of research, pop culture and music. Her love for research afforded the opportunity to partner with Georgetown University’s department of psychiatry as a subject matter expert in the development of a white paper on case management. She is a volunteer of the Disaster Mental Health function of the American Red Cross for the National Capitol region and helped with the historic flood in Louisiana, August 2016.
